Council of Community Services is Hiring a Testing Specialist Near Roanoke, VA
REPORTS TO: Drop-In Center Manager
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Testing Specialist is responsible for providing individuals with health information, referrals,
testing and treatment, risk reduction interventions, condom distribution, and awareness.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provides group-level facilitation.
- Performs Linkage to Care activities.
- Provides HIV/HCV counseling and testing Services at the Center and in field locations.
- Conducts Quality Assurance including, but not limited to, daily opening of testing labs
- Provides service navigation.
- Provides partner services/disclosure assistance.
- Provides risk and harm reduction educational services.
- Maintains organization of risk/harm reduction materials.
- Performs office/Center duties as needed.
- Collects client-level and aggregate data.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required
- Ability to work with diverse populations
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in related field
